Dated 05.08.2025 – Condemning unequivocally and expressing great shock and dismay at the recent abortive conduction of the SSC (Staff Selection Commission) Entrance Examination of 2025 Prof. Tarun Kanti Naskar, theGeneral Secretary of All India Save Education Committee (AISEC) has issued the following statementto the press:
While the collective conscience of the entire Indian Nation is yet to recover from the trauma that had been caused by the most ill conducted NEET – UG Entrance Examination of 2024 there has been yetanother case of hugely scammed entrance test for recruitment of personnel under Staff SelectionCommission that’s controlled by the Ministry of Personnel and Appointment of the Union Government. This incident is a revelation of the total lack of sincerity and absence of the sense of responsibility at the highest echelon of administration and governance of the Indian State.
What is most unfortunate is that even after the all-out protest in the country involving hundreds of thousands of students, guardians, social activists and other stakeholders against the assignment of the hugely scammed entrance exam related to the NEET- UG Entrance Examination of 2024 to NTA, a private agency, the Union Government has yet again assigned the conduction of such an important All India Test like that of SSC to Eduquity, another private company. This clearly indicates that the government is quite apathetic and indifferent to serious public causes.
As is being revealed gradually by the concerned students, candidates and the teachers of different coaching centers, anomalies in conducting this All India Entrance Test ranged from the allocation of unimaginably distant and miserably ill-equipped Tests centers to malfunctioning of the devices provided by the concerned centers for the Test that was to be conducted online. Over and above all this, while the candidates were attempting to write their tests at the concerned centers they were informed that there had been leakage of questions set for the Test following which they were further informed that the Test had been postponed till future notice in connection with the Test! To speak
the least, the whole episode was nothing short of a fiasco!
Following this unfortunate event, what happened is still more unfortunate. It was the brutal and inhuman attack on the protesting candidates and teachers who just wanted to meet the Minister of Personnel and Appointment to place before him their genuine grievances.
We, on behalf of the All India Save Education Committee (AISEC) unequivocally condemn this entire episode and demand of the Ministry concerned to take appropriate step so that the test can be conducted transparently and the same fiasco is not repeated while conducting the deferred Test. We also demand punitive measures against the officials who are responsible for assaulting the protesters.
