News Dated 11.08.2025 – Professor Surendra Mohan Pany, retired principal of Radhanath Institute of Advanced Studies in Education, Cuttack, Eminent Educationist, Advisory Board Member of All India Education Salvation Committee and a fore ranking patron of the save education movement, breathed his last on 20th July 2025 from heart attack. In his memory, a memorial meeting was organized by the All India Save Education Committee (AISEC), Cuttack District Chapter on 10 August at Cuttack. The meeting was presided over by the president of the committee, Professor Akshay Kumar Das. Firsly garlanding was done on the portrait of of Professor Pany and a two-minute silence was observed. Later, the secretary of the committee, Babi Balabantaray, read out the condolence message and the dignitaries present there addressed the meeting.
Among others present in the meeting were the Odisha State President of the Committee, Professor Birendra Nayak, Vice President Biswabasu Das, State Secretary Subas Chandra Nayak, District Committee Advisory Board Member Chittaranjan Mohanty, Educationist Professor Karmadev Moharana, Professor Sachindra Roul, Dr. Arjun Biswal, Professor Pramathes Das, Dr. Debasis Acharya, Ranjan Kumar Lenka, Assistant Professor Dr. Chaitali Sadangi, Assistant Professor Kamalakant Rana, Sasmita Sahu, old students’ association secretary of RNIASE Soubhagya Kumar Jena, two daughters of Prof. Pany Sagnika Mishra and Samikshya Pany, his son-in-law Ansuman Sahu, eminent lawyer Sukanta Nayak, eminent engineer Khirod Chandra Mohapatra, social worker Sharmistha Nath, eminent poet Akshay Kumar Roul, Cuttack District Treasurer of the Committee Binod Sethy. All of them paid their deep tribute to Professor Pany.
